Fun Fact #2: You have to push a button if you want to get off public transportation in Rome!
Yah, it took us a few days to get used to that, but now we are pros! I feel that this post goes perfectly behind the whole getting lost post. If you don't know where you are going, its hard to flag down the right bus to take you there . . . And if your don't know what your stop looks like, its kinda hard to tell the bus when to stop.
This puts tourist in an interesting situation. There is generally a list of stops for that line at each of the bus stops, but buses don't stop at every stop. So, counting them really doesn't help. Thank goodness the transportation in Rome, A.T.A.C., has a website to give you a clue of where you are going, because otherwise, I don't think I would ever make it anywhere. Granted we have had a few hit or miss bus situations, but so far, we have been extremely lucky in having other people push the button for where we have to get off. Luckily, everything in Rome is walkable . . . for the most part . . .
